Vertigraph has developed BidPointXL, a Microsoft Excel add-in tool that lets the user click on an Excel spreadsheet, then fill it with information electronically measured and drawn from paper plans using a digitizer tablet. Users can take off circles, arcs, and rectangles by clicking on three points instead of tracing. The software contains a collection of Excel estimating templates for general contracting, concrete, and other trades.
