Stegmeier wall cap and pool edge forms

Wall cap and pool edge forms from Stegmeier Corp.

Stegmeier wall cap and pool edge forms are made from expanded polystyrene, so they can be compressed into a radius with the help of fiberglass-reinforced bending and strapping tape that is included in the package.

The wall cap forms are available in five architectural profiles. Features include a shoulder that rests on the top of the block wall establishing the grade and is attached with a reusable spring steel clamp. Chamfer clips are available to fit all profiles.

The pool edge forms can be compressed into even tighter curves than can the thicker wall cap forms. They are available in eight architectural profiles. Many variations of these forms are available, including: forms for liner pools, fiberglass pools, pools with fiber-optic lighting and pools with automatic pool covers. These 8-foot forms are packaged at 112 feet per carton and are attached to the tile or pool wall using double-face tapes and tie wires.

Thanks to the porous material used in both these forms, the bleed water can transfer into the foam and not lay wet. So the vertical surface of the concrete sets up earlier than normal and sets up more uniformly with the top surface of the concrete. This same property allows forms to be stripped much cleaner because there is little or none of the suction that causes most wooden forms to pull patches.
