Joint compound from Steelcote
The Steelcote Division of Chemline offers Chemthane 1350, a 100 percent solids aliphatic polyurethane concrete joint-filling compound for applications requiring high elongation.
Chemthane 1350 is a chemical-resistant, two-component elastomeric polymer that stands up to moisture, as well as mildly acidic or mildly alkaline environments. This compound will provide an excellent level of protection for expansion joints, cracks and construction joints. It will protect against freeze-thaw dynamics, and its UV stability will allow many years of service.
Chemthane 1350 is best suited for interior and exterior concrete floors such as aircraft hangars, factories, retail stores and distribution/warehousing facilities. The product can be color-matched to the floor coating. This product should not be used in high wear areas, since the high elongation is more suited to moderate and light wear applications.
