ProSpec introduces crack isolation systems

ProSpec, Bonsal American’s brand of professionally specified construction products, has introduced Flex-Guard and Speed-Flex, environmentally friendly crack isolation systems designed to isolate horizontal substrate movement.

These low-profile systems install quickly and easily with no priming required. To install, remove the paper backing and let the system adhere to concrete, gypsum, oriented strand board, exterior-grade plywood or tile. Flex-Guard and Speed-Flex are rated for Extra Heavy Service to work in both commercial and residential applications.

Both Flex-Guard and Speed-Flex are made of nonhazardous materials and use a solvent-free adhesive, which contributes to LEED project points. Flex-Guard bridges substrate cracks of up to 3/8 inch in interior or exterior applications and cracks of 1/4 inch with partial coverage. Speed-Flex bridges 3/8-inch cracks in interior applications only, plus 1/8-inch cracks with partial coverage.
