Contractors asked for it, Dur-A-Flex delivered

Dur-A-Flex, Inc., a leading manufacturer of commercial, industrial and institutional resinous floor and wall systems, has expanded its Accelera Fast-Track Flooring family of fast-curing, low-odor products with the introduction of Accelera EXT. This unique formulation offers all the benefits of the popular Accelera product line with the added benefit of an extended working time. With a working time of up to 50 percent more than the standard formulation, maintaining a longer wet-edge during the installation now makes large square footage projects feasible without added manpower.

The fast pace of any fast-cure installation often requires contractors to have a larger workforce on hand. Busy schedules and expensive labor costs can make this a major challenge to business owners. The increased working time of Accelera EXT now gives applicators more time to pour, spread, roll and broadcast – reducing the amount of hands needed on a large square footage project. Like all Accelera products, Accelera EXT is supplied in pre-measured mix-in-pail kits consisting of a resin and hardener. For pigmenting, pre-measured color packs are available in 12 standard colors.

Fast-cure flooring technologies are nothing new; however, historically temperature and humidity variations have greatly affected working times. To counter this, contractors have often turned to the addition of solvents (and their inherent VOC count) to increase working time. Accelera’s unique formulation combats all of these issues by providing a stable working time, in a variety of environmental conditions without the use of solvents. Quick cure and low odor now allow resinous floor installations during business hours and Accelera EXT expands that to larger projects– grocery stores, manufacturing facilities and schools are just a few of the applications now within reach.
