GPS AnyPlace provides concrete form theft recovery

Gary Ryan, President of GPS AnyPlace, a company offering full GPS satellite communications devices for land and marine applications, announced the quick and successful recovery of $20,000 worth of aluminum concrete forms from J.T Hoover Concrete in Bear, Delaware.

The concrete forms were stolen in the early morning hours from Hoover’s facility. Notification of the theft was done via a wireless GPS tracking system designed and configured to notify the owners of asset movement and location via a text message providing immediate notification. Upon arrival at the scrap metal yard, Hoover owner and police saw the concrete forms in the gated facility. Operators at the scrap metal facility refused police entry to the property and a search warrant was issued, leading to the recovery of all of the forms. Hoover and other concrete companies have fallen victim to the theft of these forms representing hundreds of thousands of dollars in losses.

"After I received a 5:30 a.m. report that the concrete forms had been stolen, we immediately tracked our covertly installed GPS system. This is the first application of our newly designed unique solution for the concrete industry. The key to our success is the immediate response system allowing law enforcement to recover stolen property quickly to prevent damage or permanent loss," Ryan reports.

GPS AnyPlace is a privately owned and operated company headquartered in Saint Helens, Oregon, and has recovered millions of dollars worth of stolen cars, trucks, boats and construction equipment with over 23 years in operation.
