Halco Lighting Technologies introduces the newest addition to their JC series. They now have two JC2S (Short) LED lamps, the shortest JC lamp available in the industry. These G4 base lamps are just 0.98 inches high and .78 inches wide, making them the shortest JC available in the industry. They are designed for the landscape market to power pathway lighting and other luminaires. The new JC2S lamps are a high-output JC-version lamp. They provide an omnidirectional distribution. Additionally, they have an IP65 rating for long-lasting durability for outdoor use. The 1.40-watt LED lamps are replacements for up to 15-watt halogen lamps. Additionally, they can help save on energy and maintenance of up to 91 percent compared to halogen.
“The typical JC LED lamps available before today focused on energy reduction, but not on quality of light and flexibility of installation,” states David Nelkin, vice president, product and supply chain operations at Halco. “Now landscape designers can provide a low-energy, long-lasting solution that provides beautiful light distribution, with a compact design that fits into virtually every pathlight installed today.”

Not only are the JC2S lamps low wattage, they also create a more uniform beam spread than other LEDs on the market. This ensures that they use less energy and no light goes to waste. With a 10- to 15-volt range, these lamps will not require any additional power on existing lighting fixtures. They also do not require a large transformer for new projects.
The JC2S/827/LED2 lamp has a color temperature of 2700K and 140 lumens. The JC2S/830/LED2 provides a color temperature of 3000K and 150 lumens. Both of JC2S lamps have a CRI of 82. These easy-to-install LED lamps have a 40,000 hour rated life and are also a great solution for replacing typical halogen lamps. Each lamp has a 5-year limited warranty. However, that warranty extends to 20 years when installed within Sollos Landscape Lighting Luminaires.
