New 7-inch concrete grinder ideal for difficult jobs

CS Unitec’s new EBS 180 H 7-inch hand-held concrete grinder removes epoxy, paint and other coatings, as well as prepares new concrete surfaces before applying new paints or coatings. This grinder is solidly built with a 20 AMP, 2500-watt motor to enable a high load capacity running 7-inch diameter diamond wheels at 9500 RPM. It is especially suited for hard jobs, such as the grinding of two-component adhesives or leveling concrete.

This grinder model comes with a built-in vacuum port for dust-free operation when connected to an industrial vacuum such as CS Unitec’s CS 1225 H or CS 1500 H. The EBS 180 H has an integrated shock absorbing system to reduce vibration and ergonomically designed side handles for handling and control. These three features reduce fatigue, increase user comfort and provide a clean working environment, therefore enhancing productivity. An optional walk-behind cart is available to eliminate kneeling or bending while grinding and to provide more comfort to the user.

To increase the life of the grinder, the high-performance motor is located above the diamond grinding wheel, away from dust. An adjustable brush shield matches the height of the grinder to the wear of the diamond wheel to protect against dust and debris. The front edge of the dust guard is removable to allow grinding right up to the wall.

Electronic features include soft start, overcurrent cut-off and optical overload indication. A metal carrying case and spanner wrench are included. Assorted diamond grinding wheels for concrete, epoxy and masonry material are available.
