Skudo to Offer Educational Course at 2015 World of Concrete

Skudo surface protection in useSkudo is a supplier of a variety of temporary surface protection products. The company commits itself to protecting contractors’ work at the highest level of reliability. An educational course, “Protecting Your Work – Finding the Right Surface Protection,” will be presented by Brendon Smith, President of Skudo USA.

The 45-minute session will detail the potential damages to unprotected surfaces and considerations in selecting a protection solution. This event is free and open to all World of Concrete attendees in the South Hall Learning Lounge on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 2 pm.

Skudo will showcase improvements to their products that they have specifically designed for commercial construction environments. The Heavy Traffic (HT) Tack-Mat, a one-part, peel and stick system, is now fabricated with a tighter weave, providing 5 times more wear-and-tear resistance. In addition, the HT Commercial Mat, the top layer of a two-part surface protection system, is now 25 percent thicker. The improvements deliver even more protection and durability against heavy duty construction activity, machinery, dirt, debris, chemicals and dropped materials.

Skudo has a unique approach to surface protection, providing tough coatings and mats that temporarily adhere to the protected surface and peel up to remove. The durable exterior keeps traffic, impact, water, overspray, and stains away from the surface. At the same time, dirt and debris cannot get between the Skudo covering and the protective covering on the surface. When you peel up Skudo, it reveals a clean, damage free surface. Skudo’s versatility is expansive. The company covers nearly every surface type from concrete to tile and carpet to cabinets with its product range. It also provides long term (6 to 12 months) solutions for a range of construction environments.
