Nationally known concrete artist Buddy Rhodes started his new company to provide a complete system of supplies and support to craftspeople wishing to be innovative fabricating concrete countertops and related projects on their own. The BRCP Training Team members offer classes in San Francisco, Southern California and at Buddy Rhodes Concrete Products distributors all over the U.S.

Training opportunities include the following:

• Two-Day Basic Concrete Countertop Training Workshop at Buddy Rhodes Studio in San Francisco and at Vision Concrete Institute in Temecula, California.
• Two-day Advanced Training Workshop, at Buddy Rhodes Studio focusing on mold making and fireplace surrounds.
• One-Day Introductory Workshop and Two-Day Workshops offered at Buddy Rhodes distributors nation-wide.

Students in all concrete countertop classes learn the steps in Buddy’s process, including templating, building the mold, and mixing the concrete for ideal consistency whether using the trowelled, ground or Buddy’s signature veined finish. Filling the mold (upside- down, right–side-up, pre-cast or cast-in-place), finishing the surfaces, sealing and maintenance are covered. Two-day classes teach installation techniques, marketing tips and provide in-depth hands-on experience and individual attention. Advanced classes are designed to address students’ desire for more time to train in complex mold-making techniques and three-dimensional fabrication.
