Seamless Floors for Award-winning California Brewery

Stonhard concrete floor in brewery faced challenges

In 1996, brothers Ron and Rick Chapman made their long-time dream a reality by opening up a brew pub in the heart of their hometown of Coronado, California. Soon after moving into a new 22,000-square-foot facility in 2012, the Coronado Brewing Company began to face challenges common to breweries with sealed concrete floors: cracking and degradation from wide temperature swings and chemical onslaughts.

Stonehard product was applied and was the perfect solution to this concrete floor.

Brewery's are challenged with ever changing floor temperatures making concrete sealers a challenge.

Stonhard’s Stonclad UT provided the brothers the durable, heat- and cold-resistant, chemical- and slip-resistant flooring solution they needed. Stonhard’s installation crew installed the floor during a short window of time in order to not impact the brewery’s operations any more than was absolutely necessary. Here are some photos showing the beautiful new floor.

Large brewery drums of beer are placed on concrete floors and the process can affect the sealer.
