ACI meets in Vancouver

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) will hold its 2003 spring convention in Vancouver, British Columbia, from March 30 through April 3. More than 1500 delegates, mainly engineers and contractors from throughout North America and other countries, are expected to attend the five days of meetings, exhibits and related events. Sea-to-Sky Highway construction in advance of the 2010 Olympic Games will be a feature of “Contractor Day” on April 1, when Peter Milburn of the B.C. Ministry of Transportation will review improvement plans for the busy Vancouver-Whistler corridor in a luncheon address.

ACI is a technical and educational society dedicated to improving the design, construction, maintenance and repair of concrete structures. One of the world’s largest concrete associations, it has more than 30,000 members and 93 chapters in 30 countries.
