CFI Taps Lou Frank To Oversee Business Development

Coatings for Industry, Inc., a leader in aerospace, industrial, and commercial coating systems, has hired Lou Frank as the director of business development.

“It’s rare to find someone who has broad-based experience combined with deep industry knowledge,” said Kevin Klotz, president of Coatings for Industry, Inc. “Lou has made a career out of creating results, and we’re excited to have him on board.” As director of business development, Frank will be responsible for leading CFI’s effort to gain market share on a global level, as well as enhance the company’s brand and reputation as an industry leader.

In his more than 30-year career, Frank has worked in sales, marketing, advertising and media roles in the coatings industry. He is known by many as the founder of CoatingsPro magazine, an industry-leading publication now owned by NACE International.

He has a well-established track record for helping companies maximize their sales potential, increase market share, and develop new business. That includes his tenure as vice president of marketing for Rhino Linings, where he helped increase sales by more than 600 percent in four years.

Prior to joining CFI, he served most recently as publisher of corrosionpedia.com, a Canadian online resource.

Frank has a business degree from the University of Maryland, is a NACE Coatings Inspector, and is a commercial and instrument-rated pilot.
