Concrete Countertop Sealer Offers Speed, Ease of Use, and Ultra High Performance

concrete countertop sealer by Concrete Countertop InstituteThe Concrete Countertop Institute has released a new ultra high performance concrete countertop sealer that is also fast and easy to apply: Omega Concrete Countertop Sealer.

Omega is a unique two-component, water-borne aliphatic-polyurethane that is highly reactive and not dependent on humidity to cure. It rolls on quickly and easily without worrying about streaks or bubbles in the final finish. The sealing process takes 2 hours versus 2 days with other urethanes. The finish is ready for light use as fast as one day after application.

Omega scored excellent in The Concrete Countertop Institute’s rigorous stain and acid resistance test protocol. It also passed the abrasion, impact, flexibility and adhesion testing. The low VOC sealer is food safe and non-toxic, complying with FDA guidelines. It is suitable for use outdoors, for example on outdoor kitchens and fire pits. It is also suitable in wet areas, such as concrete sinks and showers.

Jeffrey Girard, P.E., President of The Concrete Countertop Institute, explains. “I developed Omega because, although there have been a lot of high performance urethane concrete countertop sealers on the market for years, none of them made concrete artisans’ lives easy. They took a long time and a lot of skill to apply so that they not only performed well but also looked good. Omega is fast, it’s easy, and it provides peace of mind.”

Omega Concrete Countertop Sealer is available for purchase worldwide, with distributors in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Australia.
