If you’re interested in participating in the World of Concrete’s Artistry in Decorative Concrete Demos (Jan. 20-24 in Las Vegas), you have until Oct. 22, 2013, to apply.
Artists selected for the Demonstrations will be eligible for one of two $500 prizes awarded to the Attendees’ Choice and the Experts’ Choice.
World of Concrete provides a 10-by-10-foot concrete pad, electricity and water. Hanley Wood will provide the slab or other concrete to the artist’s specification, as well as a lockbox for participants’ tools. There is no entry fee, and artisans receive free admission to WOC. However, artisans must provide their own materials, tools, and equipment. A lockbox for tools will be available.
Also, countertop artisans and casting masters who use Cheng materials, take note: The deadline to enter Cheng Concrete’s Kitchen + Bath: Concrete Maker Challenge 2013 is also October 22, 2013.
