Learn more about pervious concrete

The Portland Cement Association and the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association have released a reference manual called “Pervious Concrete Pavements.” Pervious concrete is enjoying a resurgence in interest as a paving material because it allows water to flow through itself, recharging groundwater and minimizing storm water runoff. The guidebook introduces readers to pervious concrete’s applications and engineering properties, including environmental benefits, structural properties and durability. Hydraulic and structural designs of pervious concrete pavements are discussed, as are construction techniques. For more information visit the PCA Bookstore at www.cement.org/bookstore.
