NRMCA Announces October Dates for ConcreteWorks Northeast 2018

New England- The allied associations of the New York Construction Materials Association, The Massachusetts Concrete and Aggregate Producers Association, the Northern New England Concrete Promotion Association and the Connecticut Concrete Promotion Council in conjunction with the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA), are pleased to announce their annual ConcreteWorks Northeast conference will be held October 23-24, 2018 at the MGM Springfield Casino, Springfield, Massachusetts. Highlights of the planned conference include a “State of the Ready Mixed Concrete Industry” report by Robert Garbini, President of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) and a presentation on “Mix Design Technology and Construction for Concrete Intersections” by Bill Cuerdon of the American Concrete Paving Association (ACPA).

The two-day conference will cover sessions on codes and specifications, insulated concrete forms, and building partnerships with contractors and engineers for projects. A featured guest speaker, Henry Prenger of LaFarge Cement will talk about concrete flatwork certification programs. A Mobile Concrete Laboratory will also be on hand, provided by and staffed with Federal Highway Administration personnel. Attendees will have an opportunity to tour the mobile lab and inspect the various concrete testing instruments used by the FHWA.
