Safety CEA Partnership

The American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, MO, has partnered with the Construction Employers Association (CEA), Cleveland, OH, to provide ASCC contractor members services for silica sampling from SGS Galson, an industrial hygiene laboratory. The program is designed to develop an industry wide database of silica sampling information that can be utilized by participating members to develop an objective database of information concerning the type of mitigation activities and control necessary to comply with OSHA’s New Crystalline Silica Rule.

This service is free to ASCC members. The program includes authorized member access to silica sampling products and services with CEA discounts from SGS Galson. Participants can also take advantage of a variable-based, searchable database of laboratory silica sampling results from the contractors.

The ASCC is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of those who build with concrete, and to providing them a unified voice in the construction industry. Members include concrete contracting firms, manufacturers, suppliers and others interested in the concrete industry such as architects, specifiers and engineers. There are approximately 750 member companies in the United States and 13 foreign countries.
