Training at the Core of CSDA’s World of Concrete Schedule

CSDA has planned an impressive selection of events for World of Concrete 2018 that includes four course offerings to train and certify concrete industry professionals.

“Since our first WOC training course in 2010, we have had over 350 concrete cutters, estimators, polishing professionals and ground penetrating radar (GPR) technicians complete our training and certification courses in Las Vegas,” says CSDA President Jack Sondergard. “We continue to review and improve our course offerings, and feel we have the right mix of classroom and hands-on sessions for this year’s show.”

While contractors aim to train and certify their best employees during CSDA’s training program at WOC, the current “cream of the crop” will be honored during a prestigious awards ceremony. The 5th Annual Concrete Openings Awards ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 24th at CSDA’s booth C4433. Entries have been placed into four categories—Building Construction, Industrial Renovation, Infrastructure Renovation and Roads, Bridges and Airports—and a panel of industry experts select the winners.

In addition, CSDA will hold a Board meeting on the morning of Wednesday, January 24 to review its 2017 accomplishments, while the association’s Next Generation Committee will host a reception that evening. Both events are open to anyone who wishes to attend and learn more about the association or network with future industry leaders. All this, plus the association will be conducting a series of raffle drawings for entrants to win either a Shibuya core drill rig, a slurry vacuum from Husqvarna or a Hilti impact drill/driver combo pack.

WOC 2018 attendees have until January 11th to use CSDA’s unique cosponsor source code, A26, for a valuable $20 exhibits-only registration deal (some restrictions may apply). For more information about CSDA events at WOC, visit www.csda.org/woc, email [email protected] or call 727-577-5004.
