ACI Hosting 2021 Professors’ Workshop Virtually

2021 Professors' WorkshopThe American Concrete Institute will be hosting the 2021 Professors’ Workshop virtually on July 19-21, 2021. This virtual event, sponsored by the ACI Foundation, will consist of one four-hour time block for each of the three days.

The workshop is designed to provide instructors in civil engineering, architecture, architectural engineering, materials science, and construction management programs the latest tools and teaching techniques to effectively engage students in courses that cover structural concrete design, construction, materials, and pavements.

The workshop will be available fully online. However, the primary focus is to provide teaching resources that are good for both online and face-to-face formats. The ACI also has several interactive workshops in the works. This will allow participants to explore ideas for improving the delivery of their concrete courses.
One participant of last year’s virtual Professors’ Workshop stated that, “This workshop has come at an opportune time as I have to rewrite some courses and prepare for online lectures. This has been a great value.”

Prominent, nationally known faculty and industry representatives will also present information on proven teaching methods and instructional resources, as well as updates on the latest industry technical information and trends.
