Our Concrete Countertop Essentials Workshop will jumpstart your project, whether you are a professional contractor or a do-it-yourselfer eager to learn. Explore the creative potential of concrete in this one-day session, as resident experts from the Cheng Design studio share their insights and ideas culled from 15-plus years of experience in the field. Your 8-hour investment will leave you with the ability to build compelling forms, create the proper mix, and pour, cure, and finish a professional-grade concrete countertop.

Although it's not required, we do recommend that students read Fu-Tung Cheng's book Concrete Countertops: Design, Forms, and Finishes for the New Kitchen and Bath prior to attending the workshop.

Advanced Concrete Countertop Design Training
Cheng Concrete Exchange, a division of Cheng Design, offers a full line of professional resources for designing and building kitchen and bathroom countertops.

Our intensive, 5-day Advanced Concrete Countertop Design Training is personally conducted by one of the country's premier innovators of concrete design – Fu-Tung Cheng, award-winning designer and author of bestseller Concrete Countertops and the new Concrete at Home. Assisted by our Cheng-trained instructor, Fu-Tung shares the principles of good concrete design, the techniques to implement them in complex concrete applications and the trade secrets of his proprietary, glass-like Geocrete™ concrete countertop finish. Participants will craft several countertop designs, each including features and techniques discussed throughout the training session, and will get insights into development opportunities for their business services.

The Advanced Countertop Design Training is recommended for experienced building and concrete professionals ready to build upon their portfolio and business. Applicants should have completed Concrete Exchange's Countertop Essentials Workshop OR be otherwise qualified as a building professional.
