The Saale Residence is a new construction home located in a country setting of Winfield, Missouri. All the rooms of the home reflect a consideration for the environment and use of green principles in the design and selection of products.
Right at the start, we decided that the focal point of the kitchen would be the island. At that time we were unsure about what material we would use for the island top, so we went on a quest. We spent several days visiting virtually all of the natural stone distributors in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
With a specific look in mind, the client approached us to create a singular look out of concrete for his kitchen island and tops, powder room sink, master bath vanities, floor and shower base, as well as vanities in the second bath, laundry and lower level wine bar.
The American Concrete Institute will offer five educational seminars across the country this fall to help concrete professionals remain up-todate on concrete construction and technology.
