Recently, the company completed both the design and installation of the company’s Surface Jointless Flooring System at KeyFreight Warehousing’s newest facility in the port of Beirut. The solution from CCL will enable KeyFreight Warehousing to introduce a very narrow aisle (VNA) racking system. This system optimizes capacity by reducing redundant space. Thus, it ensures the property delivers its maximum value.
To allow both its proposed extra tall racking and very narrow aisles, KeyFrieght Warehousing required a 1500m2 floor that complies with ‘defined movement’ (DM) flatness specifications. This strategy enables VNA forklifts to operate both efficiently and safely.
CCL designed the solution and then installed the Surface Jointless Flooring System onto the existing warehouse slab. Their goal was to ensure a seamless, crack-free floor.
Why Surface Jointless Flooring System?
The Surface jointless flooring system leverages CCL’s expertise in post-tensioned (PT) concrete. It provides a floor that delivers the strength and thin profile benefits of a PT slab. These benefits have been combined with a perfectly flat and levelled floor with no joints or seams, achieved using advanced laser screed equipment and CCL’s experience. Finally, installers polished the floor using specialist techniques, resulting in a dust-proof and highly abrasion-resistant finish.
