Concrete Countertop Solutions Names Winners of Photo Contest

Concrete Countertop Solutions, headquartered in Scott Township, Pennsylvania, received more than 400 images in its recent photo contest that commended quality craftsmanship and creativity in projects that featured various Z-form components and products.

Winners were chosen in five categories and most were awarded Home Depot gift cards. Four first-place winners received $300 gift cards, second-place winners got $200 store credit and honorable mentions were awarded $50 store credit.

The Pool Surround projects received product prizes valued at $918 for first, $400 for second and $172 for third place.

“The quality of craftsmanship and the level of creativity we saw was astonishing,” said Dario Baldoni, company vice president. “Choosing winners was nearly impossible. It’s a testament to how great decorative concrete can be.”

Customer Comment: “This took a lot of thinking outside of the box and some custom framing to get this pour to work with our porcelain sink bowls. But we are so happy with the finished product and everyone we show (it to) is raving. We used the straight profile counterforms, the mesh and clips, white concrete, white counter patch and the epoxy system.”

Customer Comment: “Here we have a 14.5-foot conference table using the full bullnose edge forms. We had to get creative with the forms because we needed to have a slight curve to them due to the shape of the table — 3 feet wide on each end and 5 feet wide in the middle. We used a commercial heat gun and slowly heated the forms until we could maintain the curve we needed. Sealed with Z SiAcryl 14 sealer. This was the first time we had used any of the Z-Form products, and were very pleased with the ease of use and the final product.”

Most Attractive Pool Surround

Prize: One set of any pool-form liner (eight pack) and a double-paddle hand-held mixer ($918 value).

Customer Comment: “I used the Chiseled Stone Form Liner for the step, pool and spa cantilever along with Kailua concrete color from Davis Color and a combination of liquid release and dark gray powder release.”
