Husqvarna updates engines for EPA compliance

Husqvarna Construction Products has introduced Tier 3/Interim Tier 4 compliant diesel engines in all large flat saws to be in accordance with federal regulations. The EPA’s Clean Air Act requires certain air pollutants generated by diesel engines to be gradually reduced in four Tiers over several years. Currently, Tier 2 regulations are coming to a close and Tier 3 regulations are becoming standard. Tier 3/Interim Tier 4 engines reduce nitrogen oxide and hydrocarbon emissions. The engines run cleaner and the reduction in emissions will help improve the environment for the operator and surrounding communities. ? www.husqvarna.com
