Thermal-Chem recently added ArmorPrime Ultra-Fast to its floor coatings line. The two-component, pigmented, fast-curing epoxy resin system is designed as a rapid-cure prime coat or as a basecoat for industrial floor systems where downtime needs to be kept to a minimum. It has a cure time of around 2 1/2 hours at 75 degrees F.
The design of this pigmented epoxy primer allows it to deeply penetrate concrete and create a tenacious bond. Used as a prime coat, it will promote adhesion and also help reduce outgassing from porous or heavily abraded concrete under any of Thermal-Chem’s resurfacers and topcoats.
Typical uses for ArmorPrime Ultra-Fast include:
- Reduced out-gassing bubbles, due to porous and heavily abraded substrates.
- As a rapid prime coat where you need the floor to return to service quickly.
- As a rapid cure basecoat in the DecoFlake system.
- Increased adhesion capabilities for all resurfacers.
You can also use this rapid-cure system as a basecoat in the company’s DecoFlake and DecoQuartz systems. Additionally, you can broadcast the color chips and colored quartz aggregate directly into the ArmorPrime Ultra-Fast.
