Meld releases surfacing material

Meld USA Inc. has released Micro, a cement based eco-sensitive surfacing material comprised of up to 74-percent recycled materials. Micro qualifies for potential LEED credits within the MR 4 and MR 5 categories. Like all Meld materials, Micro utilizes an integral fiber component that not only increases the structural integrity of the material but also minimizes the plastic shrinkage cracking.

Micro creates visual effects with a sophisticated and refined aesthetic, while remaining free of boundaries and open to limitless design opportunities. Micro is available in two forms: slabs and tailor-made, ready to install products. In slab form Micro is available in standard 30-inch by 96-inch x 1 1/2-inch thick slabs. For special applications, oversized Micro slabs are available via Meld’s custom slab program. Slab sizes and configurations conforming to a 60-inch x 108-inch footprint or smaller can be manufactured with a no minimum order purchase.

On the tailor-made side, Meld’s in-house custom works capabilities allow total design freedom and expression on any scale. From one-of-a-kind countertops, table tops, and tiles to three dimensional objects, sinks and furniture, the applications are endless. Micro’s color potential includes six standard colors and virtually limitless personalized hues that are sure to suit any high impact living, working or entertaining environment.
