Scofield introduces Scofield Proguard Duracover, temporary protection for installed floor systems

Scofield Proguard Duracover is a multi-ply, textured membrane laminated with a non-woven polypropylene geotextile. The composite material is a tough, durable membrane that will protect interior flooring from harsh construction environments both before and after installation. Proguard Duracover can be easily removed at the completion of the project, requiring minimal clean up. It is available in rolls, and designed for use on decorative concrete, terrazzo, ceramic tile, pavers, wood or composite floors.

Scofield Proguard Duracover is 18 mil thick and comes in a 6-foot by 150-foot roll, weighing about 45 pounds. It may be cut to fit using scissors or a utility knife. The seams are taped together using Scofield Proguard Duracover Seaming Tape, a self adhesive material that is designed to seal overlap seams. Proguard Seaming Tape is available in a 4-inch by 150 foot roll weighing approximately 7 pounds.

Scofield Proguard Duracover should be installed 72 hours after the concrete is placed to protect the floor, prior to the completion of polished, stained, stamped or other decorative finishes. It can also be used after the decorative finish is completed to protect the final installation.

Scofield Proguard Duracover provides protection from construction traffic, equipment, gypsum wall board, dust and other construction related materials. It resists oil and petroleum-based compounds and high p/H compounds. Proguard Duracover will not scratch wood, ceramic tile or other finished floor systems. Water will not deteriorate Proguard Duracover like ordinary kraft paper. It can be easily removed at the completion of the project, revealing a clean floor that requires minimal cleanup.
