The Concrete Edge Co. has introduced a 36-inch walkway adapter kit for its Lil’ Bubba EPC Landscape Curb Machine. The attachment allows the Lil’ Bubba EPC to extrude a 36-inch-wide concrete walkway. The walkway can be stamped and colored to create the look of brick or stone.
The Lil’ Bubba EPC is designed to make quick work of parking-lot ribbon curb or large landscape borders while feeding from a concrete truck. It features a 5.5-horsepower Honda motor and weighs 280 pounds.
The Twin Auger Curbing Machine from Curb King allows contractors to lay a high-quality curb quickly and easily. It has the smoothness of an auger machine and the compaction and speed of a ram machine.
The twin counterrotating, vibrating augers work together to provide positive, constant pressure, propelling the machine forward with a smooth, constant motion.
Curb King’s patented Dyna-Form drive system helps lay quality curb. The vibrating augers, hopper and housing keep the relatively dry material fluid from the hopper to the slipform. The vibration helps the particles of sand and cement fit tightly together.
The curbing machine is designed for curbs up to 6 inches by 6 inches. It weighs 150 pounds, has an overall length of 36 inches, and is available powered by gas or electricity. The electric motor provides 1 horsepower, while the gas model features a 3-horsepower Honda engine.
The concrete or asphalt is fed into the hopper and forced through a specially designed mold. The result is a free-standing, structurally sound curb with a smooth finish. The PC-150 extrudes curbs of up to 12 inches by 12 inches at a speed of up to 18 feet per minute. A continuous, one-pass operation can turn a smooth radius as tight as two feet. Curb can be placed within 1 inch of obstructions with the offset mounted mold and extrusion auger.
