Versatile Building Products names 2011 Photo of the Year winners

Decorative concrete coating manufacturer Versatile Building Products has announced the winners of its 2011 Photo of the Year contest.

The photo above is the first place winner: Legendary Concepts, of Wichita, Kan. They installed Versatile’s Roll On Rock System using 4195 Direct to Concrete Epoxy in Beige with a Saddletan flake and Clear Polyurea 5073 as the final topcoat. At the main entrance of the 17,000-square-foot floor, they created a compass star using Versatile Lava Flow and Diamond Floor products.

Concrete Graphix, of Los Angeles, won second place. According to Versatile: “The photo shows one of the many ways that our Versa-Crete ‘just add water’ product can be applied along with our Lifetime Primer to ensure that it won’t peel or bubble off down the road. Their customer chose a skip-troweled finish that was enhanced with a Modello-design border template to create a beautiful custom floor finish for one of the rooms in their home. The job was sealed with our Versa-Glaze Clear Acrylic Matte Finish.

Garage Floors Unlimited, of Twin Cities, Fla., took third place with this photo, which shows Versatile’s Roll On Rock Epoxy and Polyurea floor coating system next to its cabinets and matching slat wall. The customer chose a granite-colored floor with Diamond Plate Finish for the cabinets and Charcoal for the slat wall.

Versatile does a monthly photo contest as well as its annual contest, and it awards cash prizes to the winners. To see more photos and do a little voting, go here.
