Wife of Crown Polymers Executive Passes Away

Pattie Dimmick, wife of Floyd Dimmick Sr., technical director at Crown Polymers, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011.

Pattie Dimmick was a woman of integrity and grace. She was the devoted wife and soul partner of Floyd Dimmick Sr., her loving husband of over 53 years.

She was the mother of five children, Lori Smanski( Phil), Floyd Dimmick Jr.,  John Dimmick (Viava), April Dimmick (Eric Smith) and the late William Dimmick (Debby).

Her children were raised to be of strong heart and character, with passion for life and a limitless love for God. Pattie Dimmick was a Christian woman who cared for and loved others as dear friends. Many referred to her lovingly as “mom.”

Pattie was also known as “The Rainbow Grandma.” Her persona was bright and full of color. Her dedication to her family and friends was as vibrant as any rainbow God has ever created.

She leaves six grandchildren, Brynna, Richard, Letiesha, Heather, Lucas and Tori, all who cherished her. Her faith and grace during life, and especially during her fight for life, was a great lesson for many. Pattie will be missed and remain a treasured memory for all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Pattie and Floyd Dimmick were members of Willow Creek Community Church for over 30 years, where for the many years of her illness Pattie was an inspiration to all who knew her, and for the group of survivors and fighters of cancer and other debilitating diseases within the Willow Creek Crystal Lake congregation.
