Winners of Concrete Decor’s 2008 Concrete Countertop Design Competition were announced at the Concrete Countertop Institute Conference 2008, held August 21-23 in Sacramento, Calif.
Hollow Rock Designs Inc. won First Place, Residential, for a bar top in a condominium in St. Paul, Minn. New Edge Design won First Place, Commercial, for its countertop for Neighborhood Mortgage in Bellingham, Wash. Absolute ConcreteWorks submitted two projects that tied for Runner Up, Residential: kitchen, bathroom and patio work at the Rotter residence in Olympia, Wash., and kitchen and espresso bar work at the Hayvaz residence in Shelton, Wash. Runner Up, Commercial, was taken by Hard Topix Precast Concrete, for its Master Precision Global conference countertop in Greenville, Mich.
