Quikrete’s new High-Performance Cement Product Line delivers rapid strength and working time

The growing demand for concrete repair and building products that rapidly gain strength while providing adequate working time on a project drove the recent development of High-Performance Cement by Quikrete. The full line of fast-setting products was introduced and showcased at World of Concrete 2015.

High-Performance Cement FastSet Concrete Mix is a rapid-hardening structural concrete that sets in 25 to 45 minutes and reaches 3,000 PSI in three hours making it an attractive construction and repair material for driveways, floors, bridge decks, highways, sidewalks, parking decks and other surfaces that need to reopen for foot and/or vehicle traffic quickly. FastSet Concrete Mix, which meets ASTM C 928 R 3 requirements for concrete repair materials, is available with an integral corrosion inhibitor and can be applied from 1 1/2-inch to 24 inches thick. A 60-pound bag yields approximately .45 cubic feet.

High-Performance Cement FastSet Repair Mortar is a polymer-modified shrinkage-compensated, rapid-setting, high-strength mortar formulation that sets in 20 to 40 minutes and can be sculpted to match existing concrete for structural repairs in vertical and overhead applications. FastSet Repair Mortar, which meets ASTM C 928 R 2 requirements for structural concrete repair, is also available with an integral corrosion inhibitor and can be applied from a feather edge to 12 inches thick. A 55-pound bag yields approximately .5 cubic feet.

High-Performance Cement FastSet All-Crete is a dual-purpose material that sets in 20 to 45 minutes and can be mixed to a plastic, flowable or fluid consistency for anchoring and grouting of anchor bolts, equipment, retrofitted reinforced steel column bases, bearing plates, precast concrete key ways and other installations that require high early and high ultimate strength. As a thicker mix, it can also be used for making partial depth or full depth repairs to roads, bridges, industrial floors, and other concrete surfaces. FastSet All-Crete, which meets ASTM C 1107 and ASTM C 928 R 3 requirements, can be applied 1/4-inch to 24 inches thick. A 55-pound bag yields approximately .53 cubic feet.

High-Performance Cement FastSet Stucco Mix is a fast-setting, polymer-modified fiber-reinforced cement-based stucco designed for use as the scratch and/or brown coat in a 3-coat stucco application, or the first coat in a 2-coat application. FastSet Stucco Mix has a working time of 20 to 30 minutes and is formulated to provide minimal shrinkage, crack resistance, high compressive strengths and improved durability. A 50-pound bag yields approximately .5 cubic feet.

High-Performance Cement FastSet Stucco Patch is a fast-setting, cement-based stucco repair material designed to repair cracks, holes and voids in stucco walls. FastSet Stucco Patch has a working time of 20 to 30 minutes and is formulated to provide minimal shrinkage, crack resistance, high compressive strengths and improved durability. A 20-pound pail yields approximately 20 square feet at 1/8-inch thick.

High-Performance Cement FastSet Water-Stop Cement is a rapid-setting, high-strength repair material designed to stop active water leaks in masonry and concrete substrates above or below grade in 60 to 90 minutes. A 20-pound pail yields approximately .17 cubic feet.

High-Performance Cement FastSet Self-Leveling Floor Resurfacer is a self-finishing interior and exterior floor topping and underlayment specially formulated to work without troweling for the installation of ceramic tile, resilient flooring carpet or other finishes. A 5-pound pail of FastSet Self-Leveling Floor Resurfacer, which can be used as a wear surface for light-duty industrial floors, yields approximately .50 cubic feet at a pourable consistent and approximately 25 cubic feet at a 1/4-inch thick.
