Decorative Concrete Hall of Fame Inducts Three in 2025

The American Society of Concrete Contractors inducted three distinguished professionals into the Decorative Concrete Hall of Fame during the 2025 World of Concrete tradeshow in Las Vegas Jan. 22. The honorees — Chris Klemaske, Bent Mikkelsen and Lee Ann Harris — were recognized for their lasting contributions to the decorative concrete industry.

Concrete Decor established the Hall of Fame in 2010. It entrusted it to the ASCC in 2024 following a short recess due to Covid and other world events. The Decorative Concrete Hall of Fame is now managed by the ASCC Decorative Concrete Council, reflecting its ongoing mission to preserve and promote excellence in decorative concrete.


Chris Klemaske

Chris Klemaske - 2025 Hall of Fame InducteeChris Klemaske has spent 32 years breaking barriers for women in decorative concrete. During her extensive business career, she has owned Classic Concrete Care and led major projects for TB Penick & Sons including The Atlanta Botanical Gardens and San Diego International Airport. Klemaske also served as ASCC president in 2023-24. She thrives on promoting decorative concrete to clients and colleagues alike with a focus on blending art, design and functionality. Currently, she is a member of the Sundek National Accounts team.


Bent Mikkelsen

Bent Mikkelsen - 2025 Hall of Fame InducteeBent Mikkelsen began his career in painting and general contracting before moving into publishing. He founded Professional Trade Publications and later launched Concrete Decor magazine in 2001, which subsequently became a global industry standard. Mikkelsen also created the Concrete Decor Show and Decorative Concrete LIVE!, the latter held at World of Concrete since 2016. He went on to found the Concrete Decor Store to connect contractors, manufacturers and artisans worldwide, and continues that work today. His vision and leadership have significantly shaped the decorative concrete community.


Lee Ann Harris

Lee Ann Harris - 2025 Hall of Fame InducteeLee Ann Harris is managing director and co-owner of the Decorative Concrete Institute established in 2001. Together with her husband, Bob Harris, she has installed decorative concrete applications, held training workshops and distributed product worldwide. A founding member of the Women’s Association of Concrete Professionals, she aims to build confidence and empower women in the industry. Harris is committed to provide mentoring, resources, training, support and camaraderie to her concrete colleagues everywhere. She lives by the group’s motto, “Training, Love and Passion” for the industry.


The induction ceremony, held at the ASCC’s DCC/CPC Experience Booth, drew industry peers and enthusiasts eager to honor the careers of these three exemplary figures.
