The critical breakthrough in the creation of Rare Earth Labs’ chemically reactive concentrated concrete stains came as owner Marvin Dodson was working in his backyard in El Dorado, Arkansas in 1995
Since that first creation, Dodson has created nearly 20 compounds through Rare Earth Labs. Unlike his competitors’ products, Dodson sells concentrates, which provide contractors more flexibility. A contractor can use as much or as little as he needs by mixing it with water. He also can establish a variety of ratios, which offer a seemingly endless array of hues.
Since selling his first stain in June 1998, Dodson has developed a four-employee company responsible for creating and shipping his products. Shipments have gone all over the United States, as well as to Canada, Europe, Denmark and Australia.
