Versatile Building Products has just released 5100, a new 100-percent solids Fast Drying Polyaspartic and 5197, a fast drying Ultra High Solids Polyaspartic with low odor. Both low VOC Clear Topcoats are designed for use over concrete and a wide range of other concrete floor coatings and stains.
Because the 5100 product is not flammable and has a very mild odor, we expect it to be the product of choice when working in and around areas where an offensive odor is an issue. The applications for this product are almost limitless. 5100 is suited for use on high end residential applications, retail settings with high traffic & low odor requirements or food service areas where stain resistance and cleanability are paramount. The applicator will find that the viscosity of 5100 is very manageable while the longer 30 minute pot life gives them plenty of time to install the product without blemishes or lap marks.
5197 has a much lower viscosity than a typical high solids polyaspartic making it very easy to apply while providing an even longer 45 minute pot life and a faster cure when applied out onto the surface. The applicator will find that 5197 has much more forgiving application characteristics than other high solids Polyaspartics found in the market place.
