Wood, concrete and water: A decorative concrete shower stall

Mike Moncrieff and his Bellingham, Wash., company, New Edge Design, submitted these photos of a concrete shower to our most recent Concrete Countertop Design Competition. We reluctantly decided shower installs couldn't compete in a countertop contest. In all other respects, this is top-notch work.

The job, completed for a residential client in Bellingham, was dubbed by New Edge the "Vickie" project. It features a concrete shower with exposed bolts and a concrete step-in. "The customer wanted the company to have an open feel, yet be enclosed," stated New Edge in its contest submission.

Nice work!

From ugly floor going to shiny floor.

Floor polishing is really a nice way to beautify your floor.

Love the Slate, Concrete, Wood combination. Or did you make the tiles out of the Neomix D-FRC? Nice Job!
